Moloi’s family says that they are grateful for the work that has been done by the community policing forum but is disappointed with how the police handled her case.
Lerato Moloi’s cousin Seipati Tladi believes that her cousin’s killing was a hate crime “And they were calling her names like Stabane (homosexual), something like that and this shows that they had a problem with her sexuality.”
Community members sang gospel songs as they gathered where the 27-year-old’s charred body was found earlier this month.
