A task team will investigate the brutal mass murder of eight family members in KwaZulu-Natal.

On Tuesday, assassins shot four children and two women and set their homes alight.
Community members had saved two other children from the fire. They (children) later died in hospital.
There is only one survivor and is currently in the hospital.
On Wednesday KwaZulu-Natal Community Safety MEC Mxolisi Kaunda announced that a task team would investigate the murders.
Police have urged community members to help with any information that may assist with investigations.
“A provincial organised crime task team that has been tasked to investigate the murders.” said spokesperson Nqobile Gwala
The motive behind the murders is still unknown.
