BANDERA – The Bandera County Sheriff’s Office is seeing an unusual high number of fraudulent charges. According to authorities, customers from both Wells Fargo and First State Bank have been impacted.
“Immediately I was just shocked,” says Amy Blakeley, a victim of fraud.
She says many in the city known as ‘The Cowboy Capital of the World,’ are worried about credit card thieves.
“I don’t know what could make anyone target this town,” adds Blakeley.
Blakeley says last week she received a fraud alert stating her card was charged over $200 at a beauty store in New York.
“I called them right away and told them no that was not mine.”
