Most investors are focused on Friday’s non-farm payrolls report, but there’s other noteworthy news out there. Specifically, shares of Mondelez International Inc. (MDLZ) are surprisingly near flat despite its update on a recent cyberattack.
The company was hit with a ransomware attack last week, but said it’s now making good progress on restoring all of its systems. Unfortunately, though, it also said it expects revenue to fall by 3 percentage points, as a result.
It’s about time companies start opening up their wallets to spend on cybersecurity protection and prevention, TheStreet’s Jim Cramer, manager of the Action Alerts PLUS charitable trust portfolio, said on CNBC’s “Mad Dash” segment.
