Karabo’s body was found in a veld in Lyndhurst, Johannesburg.
The 27-year-old suspect is believed to be Karabo’s ex-boyfriend.
The suspect allegedly killed and burned Karabo’s body.
The victim’s body was discovered on April 29, a day after she was reported missing by her family. News of her death was made public on Thursday morning.
Following his arrest, images of the suspect started circulating on social media. The hashtag #MenAreTrash also caused a stir.
Police Captain Masondo has warned social media users against the spreading of images of a person suspected of committing a crime on social media.
