Police have launched a manhunt for a suspect who allegedly raped a 17-year-old girl in Riemvasmaak, Northern Cape.
Police have launched a manhunt for a suspect who allegedly raped a 17-year-old girl in Riemvasmaak, Northern Cape.
According to police, the teenager was walking home from a local tavern when she was approached by the suspect.
"The man allegedly accosted her and put a cloth over her mouth to prevent her from screaming," a police statement read.
The man further assaulted the victim and choked the teen while raping her.
"The suspect is a black male, dark in complexion and with dreadlocks. He is tall and approximately between the ages of 25 and 30 with a mark on his right cheek."
