A 39-year-old Mbombela man has been handed a R70 000 fine after being found in possession of 300 kilograms of cannabis, with an estimated street value of R700 000.
A 39-year-old Mbombela man has been handed a R70,000 fine after being found in possession of 300 kilograms of cannabis, with an estimated street value of R700 000.
The Directorate for Priority Crime investigation (Hawks) confirmed that Matthews Vilakazi was found guilty and sentenced on Friday.
His vehicle, valued at R100,000, was forfeited to the state.
The magistrate also handed down a suspended four-year sentence, on condition that he not be found guilty of the same offence.
