A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of 22-year-old Karabo Mokoena, who had been missing since last month.

Karabo’s body was found in a veld in Lyndhurst, Johannesburg. It is reported that the suspect in custody is Karabo’s ex-boyfriend.
The victim’s body was discovered on April 29, a day after she was reported missing by her family. News of her death was made public on Thursday morning.
Police Captain Masondo, speaking to News24, said that they arrested her ex-boyfriend late last night at his residence in Sandton. He has been charged with murder, and is expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
Masondo has also warned against the spreading of images of a person suspected of committing a crime on social media.
