Warrants: Man breaks into Budweiser truck, doesn’t steal beer

ASHEVILLE – A Swannanoa man was charged with breaking into a Budweiser truck Monday that was parked at a gas station on Tunnel Road, but did not take beer, according to arrest warrants.

The driver’s lunch cooler and wallet were reported stolen, warrants state.

Dakota Aaron Carney, 26, then utilized the stolen credit cards to make purchases at several local stores, said Asheville Police spokeswoman Christina Hallingse.

Warrants allege that he used a stolen credit card to purchase gas and merchandise on Monday.

Carney was charged with felony breaking and entering into a motor vehicle and felony financial card theft, according to arrest warrants….
