Police station reeling from brazen early morning attack

According to police, suspects entered the station on the pretext of reporting a robbery. They then shot a sergeant at the station in the face, in addition to firing shots into the community service centre.
Police returned fire but the suspects were able to escape the scene.
The motive for the attack is as yet unknown, but provincial detectives are hard at work in pursuit of the suspects.
Lieutenant General Khombinkosi Jula, Western Cape Provincial Commissioner, has condemned the attack, and assured the community that the perpetrators would be brought to book.
“Police are there to protect communities. An act of this nature undermines the authority of the state,” Jula said.
