CHAMBERSBURG – The Norland Avenue Chipotle was one of several Chipotle restaurants involved in a security incident affecting customers who went to the restaurant between March 24 and April 18.
During that time period, investigators believe malware was operating on “point of sale” devices that accessed payment data from cards which searched for track data, according to a release from Chipotle.
Track data can include cardholder name information, the card number, expiration date, and internal verification code, which can be read from the magnetic strip of a payment card as it is being routed through the device, according…
