Two men accused of forcing a man into a coffin and allegedly threatening to pour petrol on the individual are expected to appear in court on Friday.

Theo Jackson and Willem Oosthuizen are expected back in the Middelburg Magistrates Court, for the alleged hate crime against Rethabile Mlotshwa.

In 2016, the two accused told the court that they only wanted to teach Mlotshwa a lesson.

The men forced Mlotshwa into a coffin and threatened to set him on fire. They also threatened that a snake would be put in the coffin with him.

They recorded the entire incident and posted it on social media. They accused Mlotshwa of trespassing and beat him up.

The two men are currently facing charges of assault with the intent of doing grievous bodily harm and kidnapping.
