Two men arrested for possession of Mandrax

Two men have been arrested for being in possession of Mandrax worth an estimated R1 million in Phuthaditjhaba in the Free State.

Two men have been arrested for being in possession of Mandrax worth an estimated R1 million in Phuthaditjhaba in the Free State.

Sergeant Mmako Mophiring said that a suspicious blue vehicle was spotted at a filling station in Phuthaditjhaba.

Phuthaditjhaba police tactical response team and crime intelligence officers then approached the vehicle and asked to search it.

They then discovered 10 bags of Mandrax tablets in a big black bag.

Cluster commander Major-General Peter Moloi said, "It’s again a successful team work of fighting a war against drugs trafficking within the Phuthaditjhaba cluster. I want to applaud the members for stopping the poisonous tablets before getting into the hands of innocent youths."

The two men will appear in the Phuthaditjhaba Magistrate's Court.
