A Scandal! actor arrested at a brothel in Springs last week has not been charged.
The 21-year-old actor and 16 others were arrested on charges of sexual exploitation and human trafficking.
Police say there was no evidence that linked the actor to the crime. He did not appear at the Springs Magistrate’s Court on Monday. However, investigations are still underway to determine whether or not the actor is part of the syndicate.
Five suspects were charged with human trafficking under the Sexual Offences Act in court.
According to IOL, a woman managed to escape from the brother and told police about the business.
The case has been postponed to June 6.
